Lead Structural Concrete Form Setter for United Concrete of Montana, LLC, Bozeman, MT. Perform a variety of physical and manual labor to prepare concrete foundations, walls, and other structures for residential or commercial sites. Operate a variety of hand and power tools, heavy machinery or equipment. Construct and prepare forms for concrete to be poured into place. Maintain a clean jobsite and secure the jobsite each day to help eliminate potential hazards. Dig trenches, set braces to support the form structures, erect, move and take down scaffolding, and remove waste materials. Assist other skilled craftsmen, pump operators, and/or drivers, as needed. Work outdoors in extreme weather conditions. May transport crew members to and from jobs, sometimes hauling trailers of building materials. Lead crew members on daily duties as necessary to the project schedule (procuring materials, inspecting rebar layout, providing a project schedule to United Concrete Managers and Contractor/Owners/Project Managers). Understand concrete drawings and details, and constructing concrete structures and slabs, as to those drawings. Review schedules and target dates with other United project Leaders. Review crew members’ timecards and verify daily and/or weekly hours. Work with management to help make pertinent jobsite decisions based off project schedule, project environment and logistics. Attend weekly or otherwise scheduled project and company safety meetings. Assess safety hazards on-site via a company-wide app and mitigating those hazards or bringing to the attention of project managers. The Lead Structural Concrete Form Setter is not a manager and does not have any direct or indirect reports. The Lead Structural Concrete Form Setter has more experience than a typical crew member and leads by example, demonstrating how to perform duties as needed. Understand concrete drawings and details, and constructing concrete structures and slabs, as to those drawings. Review schedules and target dates with other United project Leaders. Review crew members’ timecards and verify daily and/or weekly hours with the goal of keeping teams on schedule and efficient, but not in supervisory capacity. May travel to project sites in Gallatin and Madison counties daily or weekly as needed to complete projects at client sites within these two counties. Multiple positions available.
Basic Qualifications:
Must possess one year experience as a lead structural concrete form setter or any occupation in concrete form setting.
Must be able to lift 50lbs. Must have the ability to read and understand construction drawings. Must possess one year of experience in structural concrete construction. May travel to project sites in Gallatin and Madison counties daily or weekly as needed to complete projects at client sites within these two counties.
